Black History Month, also known as African-American History Month in the U.S. , is an annual observance in Canada, Ireland, the Netherlands, the United Kingdom, and the United States and Recently Nigeria. It began as a way for remembering important people and events in the history of the African diaspora. It is celebrated annually in the United States, Canada And Nigeria in February, as well as in the United Kingdom, the Netherlands and Republic of Ireland in October..

The United Mission In Nigeria Supports the Celebration in Nigeria With the highlight of it Been a performance By the staff and students of Ahmadu Bello University Zaria .

In The Year 2019 The Department Of Theatre And Performing Arts  have announced the date for the Commemoration Of the 2019 BlackHistoryMonth #BHM19. Which is The 28th of February 2019 With the Performance The Meeting By Jeff Stethson  Staring Prince Nathan Kure As Malcom X,  Abdulaziz  As Martin Luther King Jr, and David Onyilo As Rashad.

This started in year 2018 with the performance of the Book A Raising in the sun By Lorraine Hansberry. Which was performed across the Country starting from Ahmadu Bello University Zaria through to Kano then Finally Abuja.. In the Month of February 2018.

Which Featured Star Actors Like Prince Nathan Kure, Emmanuella Along, Millicent Mary Aluko,  Etc, And was Directed By Dr.  Emmanuel T.  Hana,  Dr. Ola Ifatimehin,  And Coordinated By Dr. Rasheeda Liman(HOD, department of Theatre and performing arts).

And also had In attendance Professor. Jeffery wray, Professor. I. E Evwlerhome, Professor. Tama Hamilton Wray Etc.
